Ice machine installation and commissioning guide
Apr 29,2024
1.The ice machine should be installed in a place without direct sunlight and well ventilated.
2.The ventilation distance of the condenser of the ice machine should be at least 1m from the shelter at the front and back, and at least 50cm from the roof in height. a large ventilation distance is needed to keep the air circulating. The installation floor should be kept level, otherwise the operation of the machine will make the water stored in the refrigerator affect the quality of the ice produced.
3. After installation, first check the integrity of the appearance of the machine, whether the ice chute is smooth, whether the rotation of the wind blade is flexible, whether all the cut-off valves of the unit are open, whether there is oil in all the connections of the unit, and whether the compressor is out of oil. The oil is closely related to the service life of the compressor. Everyone should always check the oil level and the colour of the oil.
4. Turn on the water supply and check whether the water pressure is normal. If the water pressure is too low, the machine will sound an alarm. When water is cut off frequently, it is recommended to use a water storage tank and booster pump. The water level in the inlet tank should be about 10mm lower than the overflow, which can be adjusted by a float. Don't forget to check the voltage as well. The ice maker comes with water valve and power supply, which is convenient for future maintenance.
5. Do not make ice immediately after the ice maker is powered on. Let the crankcase heater pressurised oil warm up first and then let the unit run. Here, listen to the sound of the unit running and see how the evaporator freezes. Some ice makers require brine to be added. Usually a 30kg bucket with 200g or more of salt is appropriate. Also, check that the water level in the distributor is normal.
